Logistiek Centrum Zwevegem BV - LCZ hereafter referred to as LCZ - attaches great importance to data protection and wants to ensure that your privacy is protected when you use our services. We have therefore prepared this policy and information on data processing, explaining how we handle your personal data and what rights you have under privacy legislation.

We reserve the right to amend the content from time to time. It is therefore advisable to revisit our data processing notices at regular intervals.

Personal data we process

LCZ processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide it to us yourself. Below is an overview of the personal data we process:

  • Company number
  • Purchase history
  • Bank account number
  • Other personal data you actively provide in correspondence and by phone

Special and/or sensitive personal data we process

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect sensitive data as well as data on website visitors who are under 16 years of age. Unless they have parental or guardian consent. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore advise parents to be involved in their children's online activities, in order to avoid collecting data on children without parental consent.

If you are convinced that we have collected personal data about a minor without such consent, please contact us at accounting@lcz.be and we will delete this information.

For what purpose and on what basis we process personal data

LCZ processes your personal data for the following purposes:

  • For the performance of our agreements in order to comply with legal obligations
  • To be able to call or e-mail you in order to carry out our services
  • To inform you about changes to our services
  • To load, unload and deliver goods and services to you
  • To handle your payment and accounting processing
  • For various marketing purposes such as sending our newsletter and/or advertising folder, invitations, ...

For processing personal data, we rely on your consent and/or the necessity of the processing for providing our services to you, or on a legal obligation or because of a legitimate interest.

Automated decision-making

No automated individual decision-making or profiling measures take place.

How long we keep personal data

LCZ will not retain your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to fulfil the purposes for which your data is collected. After termination of the commercial relationship, your personal data will be kept for as long as we are legally obliged to do so.

Sharing personal data with third parties

LCZ does not sell your data to third parties and only provides it if necessary for the fulfilment of our contract with you or to comply with a legal obligation.

In order to fulfil our contractual and legal obligations, we also partly use various service providers or subcontractors to transport, load and unload your goods correctly.

Cookies that we use

LCZ uses functional, analytical and tracking cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet or smartphone when you first visit this website.

LCZ uses cookies with a purely technical functionality. These ensure that the website works properly and that, for example, your preferences are remembered. These cookies are also used to make the website work properly and to be able to

Viewing, correcting or deleting data

You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your possible consent to data processing or object to the processing of your personal data by LCZ and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we hold on you in a computer file to you or another organisation named by you. You can send a request for inspection, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data or a request to withdraw your consent or object to the processing of your personal data to accounting@lcz.be

To ensure that the request for inspection is made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your proof of identity with the request. In this copy, blacken out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and national register number.  This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks.

If you believe that LCZ has not acted in accordance with data protection legislation, you can complain to the Commission for the Protection of Privacy at accounting@lcz.be

How we secure personal data

LCZ takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to counter abuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised modification. If you have the impression that your data is not properly secured or there are indications of misuse, please contact our customer service at accounting@lcz.be
